The expertise of each consortium member along with its profile is described in more detail in the next sections. The prime contractor will be Politecnico di Milano as leading educational institute acting as the project's administrative co-ordinator: Politecnico di Milano, like the other academic partners, will contribute to active teaching and student tutoring. Its long-standing experience in remote learning will provide useful contributions for the e-learning package. Politecnico di Milano will of course be interested in the exploitation and dissemination phase as well. University of Lugano as head of AlaRI research and educational institute will act as the project's Technical Co-ordinator (with funding from Swiss government) and be responsible for the organisation and execution of schedule of courses and the related applied-research activities. The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne and the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya will provide teaching opportunities (through ECTS credit recognition) and foster the exchange of undergraduate and PhD students with the other universities in the consortium; moreover, they will organise summer schools and courses for the participating industries. The Central and Eastern European Networking Association will have the very specific role to promote ANTITESYS in the central and eastern European countries and to collect student's applications from these countries. The industries participating in the consortium (ST Microelectronics, INTRACOM, Mentor Italia Srl, TXT and IFX) will be involved in the design of training, follow master students in the realisation of applied research projects, and paying thealso grants to the students. Moreover, they will participate in the training courses though their personnel (either teaching or learning). IPLS will focus its participation on the remote learning activities, providing specific software and technical support to set up the project communication infrastructure. Finally, IMEC will act as organiser of training courses for the industry and host and their premises master's students for part of their training. Following is a brief description of the profile of each partner as well as the key personnel involved.
